When I was looking for a pen for my EDC kit, I was looking for a compact pen that made no compromises to quality. BigIdeaDesign made that happen. I am very impressed by the quality and the design. I will be buying the full-size pens from them in the future.

Love the design and quality. This is my second purchase and I love having the base line for my pocket and the mini to keep with my notebook.
Got the brass Mini Bolt Action back in August 2022, and over the last few years it has developed great character and patina. I originally purchased it while working in stone fabrication, needing something I could always keep on me and trust in a relatively tough environment. I have since changed industries and EDC it regardless of weekday or weekend.
This pen has been subjected to everything from being drenched during wet cutting to daily physical abuse. Other than a few small scars here and there, it has kept up without issue. The bolt action mechanism has remained smooth and problem free the entire time I’ve owned this. Clip itself is very sturdy. For some, it might be “too stiff” but for the heavier denim and duck canvas pockets I have, it has not “stretched out.” Clip still makes contact with the pen body after having been in the pocket for majority it’s time with me.
This thing legitimately feels like it will last me the rest of my life. And even if the pen itself weren’t enough, the support from Big Idea Design is second to none. I reached out for assistance with the refill holder and they helped me out without missing a beat. Communication was fast and professional, even a couple years after I originally made my purchase.

What an amazing little pen. So beautifully made and in copper it has a nice weight and beautiful look.
