This pen is incredible. I bought the Base Line, loved it, but wanted it a little thinner with the collet. This pen delivered! I love the length (works better in my bigger hands), I love the thickness, and I love the collet for absolutely 0 tip wiggle.
Well worth the upgrade. I also bought a damascus clip for it and it is my favorite piece of EDC. I love writing and fidgeting with it.
I sign documents for a living and this was a luxury purchase.
I will say very well made. Material is high quality.
Has a perfect weight without being uncomfortable.
Fits wide amount of Refills fits perfect (Using JETSTREAM 0.5mm).
I love the fidget ability of the bolt action.
Just don't keep your multi tool with diamond dusted sharpener on the outer edge in the same pocket. You will scratch your pen 1st day owning it.
I’m using a Pilot G2 refill, and when the pen is retracted the nib sits very close to the front opening. This may cause ink to leak if it comes into contact with a pocket or fabric. It would be nice if the refill could sit a bit deeper inside the barrel when retracted.
I own the titanium version of this pen and really enjoy it, so I was hoping the heavier model would offer an even better writing experience. While it certainly has the extra weight I was looking for, the balance is unfortunately off.....it’s too top-heavy, which makes it tiring to use for longer writing sessions. I think more thought had gone into the design and weight distribution. I also own a Smooth Precision copper pen which is very well balanced and a pleasure to use. It seems BID has followed Tactile Turn in producing a copper pen that’s simply too top-heavy to be practical. Unfortunately, it’s not usable for me and is going back in the box.

So I use the Pilot V5 RT pens and by the refills. Of course the pens don't last in my workplace. I work in the aerospace industry fastener manufacturer. I use my pen a lot for paperwork. I also hang it in the sleeve I got with the pen. They both work excellent! 10 out of 10 I highly recommend!
