USA Cloudland Fixed Blade

The third model in our USA fixed blade lineup! Inspired by a bird and trout style knife, but adapted for EDC. A full four finger handle, with a medium sized blade. This not only fills the gap between our models, but adds a unique carry and use case to our line. Full sized feel with the nimble ability of an EDC fixed blade.

Named after a local adventure destination, Cloudland Canyon.

Designed with our in house designer, Mak Kelsay, ABS Journeyman Smith. The Cloudland comes in Magnacut with multiple scale options and is manufactured in house in our Chattanooga, TN machine shop.

The Big Idea Design USA Cloudland Fixed Blade has become an easy part of my everyday carry because it simply works. Its MagnaCut blade arrived razor sharp and has stayed impressively so through daily use, making quick work of the ordinary cutting jobs that accumulate during a day. Just as important, the compact fixed-blade format is comfortable in hand: secure, well balanced, and never tiring. The titanium scales are the standout touch. They look exceptional, feel even better, and give the knife a premium, purposeful character without making it fussy. This is a beautifully made American fixed blade I use.

Great size

Love the size and nice for edc too. The dymalux scales look so cool. Beautiful craftsmanship and highly recommended.

Dang

My bro-in-law showed me this knife was available and as soon as I saw it I thought “this may the first fixed blade I could edc”. Boy I was right! This is that perfect size and I had no idea how light it was. Never have I seen this company’s knives, nor can I speak for their others, but this one is a winner! Love the size, overall shape, weight, and blade design is perfectly effective for edc uses. Sheath doesn’t click in extremely positive, but so far it’s not come loose or fall out. Clip is extremely tight but gives me assurance it’s going to stay where I left it. Overall, highly recommended!

Great edc fixed blade

Great knife, great sheath, love carrying it!

I can’t believe they made a knife that I like better than the Lookout. I still would not give up my Lookouts, but if you buy one Big Idea knife, buy this one. Additionally, I had a parallel customer service issue, and Tyler B. treated me like family. Big Idea values their own work and energy and also values our customer dollars and trust. Yeah, the stuff is expensive… but you’ll feel good about where your money is going and you won’t be disappointed with the quality of their trade craft.
