We took our popular TPT (Titanium Pocket Tool) and cranked it up a notch. This TSA-friendly tool packs in a ton of convenient features in a lightweight and portable package.

On the new version, we have added an EZ swap door on the back of the TPT for easy and quick blade changes. This applies to models with EZ Swap in the name. We’ve made the body 25% thicker for strength, and added a slide lever at the top for quick and easy access to the insert. It’s now even easier to carry, thanks to the removable pocket clip. All of this is in addition to the the tools on the original TPT.

The Best Pocket Knife Ever

I have been using the TPT Slide Knife for ~2 years now. I put it on my keychain. I’m a general contractor and this knife allows me to efficiently open boxes and cut pallet straps everyday. My love, how the titanium doesn’t wear out and how I can just throw a regular jobsite razor blade into the slide. I just got the new designed knife, and it’s even easier to change the blade now! Fun facts: I disassembled an entire steel bed frame with the wrench portion of this knife in the time it took my dad to grab his tool bag from the truck. I’m a huge fan and I recommend this knife to anyone who needs a razor blade multi-tool on them at all times. Praise: Big Idea Design has the best customer service I have encountered. Need: If there is a way that Big Idea Design can hide a Philips screwdriver on this knife….game changer.

Worse than expected

Clip is too stiff and after forcing it a bit it’s wobbly
The anodization wears out instantly using the pry bar
The blade is loose

Great utility knife

Minimalism!!

Needs improvements

There’s three big issues with this and two of them are the pocket clip.
Issue one the pocket clip came way to tight to put into a pocket. I tried adjusting it the way you’re not supposed to just pulling on it, it broke. Great customer service though they sent me a new one. New one to lose so you have to sit there and build and take apart the tool while bending the clip with pliers to get the tension right. It just needs to come with a torx screw holding it in place not the fancy pin inside the body.
Second issue with the clip is it stops right in the open void where the blade goes it needs to stop on the body so it slides into your pocket easier.
Third issue is and this may just be personal issue, the tool doesn’t have enough room behind the slide to be able to be comfortably used having paracord or leather helps hold onto it while activating the slide but if you don’t have that it’s pretty difficult.
All in all the pocket clip if the major thing that needs fixed. Pic of where one could go with a screw or just put the stick one where it is with a screw and shorten it up so it’s flush on the body.
