Handle Material

It’s taken us about a year to get this  thing perfect,  but we are finally releasing our first fixed blade knife!  This is, in my opinion,  just about the perfect size for edc, camping, general outdoor knife, just about anything that doesn’t require a sword!  Large enough to handle most tasks with ease but also small enough to comfortably carry everyday or even pocket carry if that’s your jam. Made from tough nitro-v steel and then cerakoted and tumbled to give it a bit of a battle worn finish. We didnt want a perfect sheen, it comes pre-broken in! This thing is meant to work, not sit in a case and look pretty.  

The Deano is named after my Uncle who is a proper Kentucky mountain man and is also the person that gave me my first knife, took me camping for the first time, and started my love of knives and the outdoors.  Seemed a fitting name for our first knife!

My Worker

This knife lives in my pocket and follows me around conducting chores whether it be in the home in the garden or in the driveway this knife is never too far away however, this is where the positive end, in my humble opinion, this knife simply isn’t worth the price point. the quality just isn’t there the knife sheath rattles the handle to tang fitment isn’t great and the quality that I have known to expect from big idea designs just isn’t there.

I purchased this to be a worker. I have si many shelf queens I wanted an EDC worker. Unfortunately the tang of the handle is ever so slightly bigger than the scale causing hot spots and the shearh came with loose rivets. It pains me o report that the quality of the product if not reflective of the price.
