Hi got this for my birthday best gift ever, love it! I love how you can change the leads to 0.5, 0.7, and 0.9mm and the copper look is beautiful , I forced patina my pencil love it more, l love to draw and this is the ideal gift for any artist. All I’m missing is the titanium Damascus clip. This is a one of a kind lifetime pencil, there is no competition when coming to this pencil, it’s the best.
That is AWESOME!!! Thanks for sharing!
I have the black Titanium pencil.
I was skeptical at first. I'm a collector, not easy to please. I didn't like the look of the bulky clip, figured it was gonna get in the way. (Still not a fan of the clip; it *does* get in the way. But this is an A#1 pencil, just the same.)
I *like* that you can chuck in a different Schmidt thing and change the lead size. I don't have a single other pencil like that. (Personally I'll probably never change it from 0.7, but still. The fact that I *could*.)
Main "plus" is the weight, though, for me. I've tried everything, and my preference is 25 grams and up. Within reason. 70g is obviously crazy. But 29, 30—that's right on the money.
Gotta say I also appreciate the "Damascus" bolt they include. Helps you feel like they're bending over backwards to make this thing worth the 120 USD. (I think that's what it cost. Something like that.)
All in all, I would say C+ on looks, but I don't "go" by looks. Solid "A" on function.
BID always executes well. The actuation is smooth and clean. The slim profile (see: the bolt action slim) is ergonomically pleasing. The stonewashed finish is as uniform and understated as always. And last but certainly not least, the NEW milled pocket clip. Holy moly! This clip is amazing. Smooth, rounded on all sides, and solid as a rock. Win. Sell us that added eraser top modification and put us out of our BID-loving misery!

Good weight and feel in the hand. Love that I can choose between .5, .7 and .9 size lead. Pretty good action on the bolt. Sometimes when I try to advance the lead it disengages the bolt which can be frustrating. Solid build just disengages a little too easily. I may try a stronger spring. Would prefer the bolt itself be slightly larger, but that’s just personal preference.
