Work on the spring and clip and it will be perfect

Loved the pen, loved everything about it except for the clip (although better than the slim bolt action) and the spring (still better than the slim bolt action) which I find to be a bit too stiff. The clip is barely movable, thus making it clip to a chart or jeans near impossible. That said, the size, feel, finish and design are all impeccable!
If I had to reorder (which I might) I would get a polished version as the rough one is not as nice in person.

Baseline sets the bar.

For me the Baseline Bolt Action is the perfect size, & the being able to change the clip position makes it friendly for left or right carry. The action is smooth the & bolt is comfortable to manipulate making this pen a friend to the fidgeters. My first Big i pen was a Copper Pro, then I bought a Baseline, then another, & another. Don’t let the name Baseline fool you, this pen sets the bar in my opinion, for Big I & other companies in the pen business.

Love the Base Line Bolt Action Pen!

Build quality of this pen is off the charts! Subtle rings on the grip prevent any slippage while writing. The brass bolt carrier provides a nice accent against the Black DLC finish. The Schmidt P900 refill is one of my favorites, but if you don't like that, there are hundreds of Parker-style refills to choose from. The design team did a great job making the pen small for easy carry, but big enough to fit well in the hand for comfortable writing.
