Since our launch of our Lookout fixed blade, we have had requests for a quality leather sheath to accompany it. We looked to the incredibly talented Taylor Cortes, known as Taylored By Cortes! Using full grain leather and the perfectly subtle X clip, this sheath is perfect for the more casual moments, that still require a fixed blade of course! The great thing about full grain leather is the way it breaks in an patinas over time, creating a one of a kind look that gets better with age! The aged one in photos is after 3 months of carry.

Made in small batches cut and sewn by hand in Arizona!

Pretty sweet pocket sheath

I do love the smell of some good leather !!! This sheath is good . I wish the pocket clip had a little more retention that way when you need to draw it fast you can effortlessly. But you can use it right or left . It fits the lookout so good . And it doesn’t matter if it’s drop point clip point or tanto or sheep’s foot . Not many sheaths can do that . It is also one of the best priced leather sheath I have found . So thumbs up from this guy . Flipping love so BID gear

I really enjoy daily carrying a leather sheath versus a kydex one, and I'm so glad BiD decided to sell this! I look forward to more leather sheath options for BiD's pocket fix blades!

Sleek, compact, perfect for the pocket.

I love having leather sheaths or slips for my knives. I've made many myself. But I jumped on this one for the Lookout. It looks very good! Smells amazing! High quality leather! Feels and fits great in the pocket!

Super Luxury, Near Perfect

Does the stock Kydex sheath work? Sure does. It works great, in fact. Do you need a leather version? Probably not, but it is super nice and feels luxury. This thing is going to look even better after a year of wear and patina.

The only gripe I have is the pocket clip retention is a bit lacking. It is not loose, just when the leather sheath is breaking in, I found that I would have to take the sheath fully out of my pocket to then remove the knife. After a couple of weeks of use, I am able to retrieve the knife without removing the sheath. It still slips up a bit, but stays in the pocket. Not a deal breaker, but the retention on the stock Kydex sheath clip was so much more, maybe too much. But, that is what I am comparing it to. The reason for the less retention on the clip is probably due to the nature of the leather being smooth rather than the Kydex texture. Not a design flaw, just leather is more slippery. I'd say 4.5 stars, so I am not going to ding it down to 4 because it is AWESOME.
