Chaves Fountain EDC Pen

This pen surprised me. Not only does it look great, but it's also a good EDC pen. I'd put it on par with a rollerball pen in terms of usability, meaning being able to effectively write on most types of paper you'll encounter throughout the day.

Being left handed, fountain pens can be hit or miss, especially the finer you get with the nib. The nib is a little scratchy feeling, but I've had no issues with it catching on the paper while writing and it puts out a fine enough line that the ink can dry before I drag my hand through it. Other extra fine nibs I've used are more scratchy and put out more ink so they tend to smear, feather and bleed through the paper more than this pen.

I was skeptical of an EDC fountain pen but this one has proved to be effective in most any writing situation I've it in and I feel confident that the o-rings will seal in any leaks that may happen.

I have had fountain pens and not found them good to use . I have had this now for a couple of days and by far heads above better than other ones i have had.

Love it. Plus chavez pocket clip is icing on the top. A chavez knife is next.
